REAS

In October 2007 the existence of all the five REAS companies (STE, ZČE, SČE, VČE, SME) was ended. All of their activities were taken by the specialized processing companies of the CEZ Group during the previous years. All the rest of the liabilities were assumed by CEZ, a. s. As of October 1, 2007 CEZ, a. s. has taken all the rights and liabillities of the former REAS companies.

The end of the existence of the former regional distributers (REAS) was planned from the beginning of the transformation of the CEZ Group as a part of the VISION 2008 project. This was a unique transformation project that has begun in 2004. It has entirely changed the form of the CEZ Group. The aim of the project is to bring cost savings in the ammount of 2,8 billion CZK every year.
