Unemployment benefit expenditure reaches CZK 1.06 bln

In June 2010, paid unemployment benefits totalled CZK 1.06 bln, which is 26.5% less than in the same period of last year.

(CIA, Aug 24) In June 2010, paid unemployment benefits totalled CZK 1.06 bln, which is 26.5% less than in the same period of last year. Also in June, the registered unemployment rate dropped 0.2 percent point month on month to 8.5% and unemployment benefits were paid to 141,700 people. Compared with June 2009, there were 50,000 less registered job seekers. The figures were released by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.
