The Veseli nad Moravou Vrané Hydroelectric Power StationThe run-of-river hydropower plant was constructed on the right bank of the Morava river. Water is conveyed to two separate units of the plant through a twin canal that turns from the right overpass of the diversion weir, Veseli nad Moravou.

The hydropower plant is a functional technical landmark with the original machinery from the beginning of the 20th century.

MVE I was put into operation in 1914 and it is equipped with a vertical Francise turbine and three phase generator BEZ Bratislava with the active output of 128 kW. The set uses the through-flow of 9 m3/s. The turbine was produced and supplied by J.M. Voith. To transmit power to the pinion and the large pulley, the turbine has a cog gear with wooden teeth, made of hornbeam wood. The original pulley steering the little generator pulley was made of camel´s hair.

MVE II was put into operation in 1927 and it is also equipped with a vertical Francise turbine with three phase generator with the active output of 151 kW and the through-flow of 13 m3/s. This turbine and the generator were produced and supplied by Ceskomoravska-Kolen, a.s.. Both plants use the head of 2.8 m.
