FVE ČekaniceThe ČEZ Group commissioned a modern photovoltaic power plant in Čekanice near Tábor at the end of 2009. The facility is operated by ČEZ Renewable Sources.

Čekanice is situated on the periphery of Tábor in the České Budějovice Region. The average annual total global radiation exceeds 4 thousand MJ/m2 it also has the highest number of days of sunlight.  The power plant with an installed output of 4.48 MW should, in the opinion of ČEZ Renewable Sources specialists, produce an annual amount of electricity covering the demand of approximately 1,200 households in south Bohemia.

The construction itself was carried out in the second half of 2009. Carriers of polycrystalline panels are fixed to bearing piles fixed in the ground.
