(CIANEWS, May 10) Insufficient offer on the labour market is becoming the main obstacle to the development of the Czech economy. In reaction to the data published by the Czech Ministry of Labour and Social Affars, this statement was made by UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia analyst Pavel Sobíšek. PwC Czech Republic human resource management expert Andrea Linhartová Palánová says that as a result of the lack of employees, there is pressure on increasing wages, an effort of companies to replace people by machines and hiring of employees from abroad. Raiffeisenbank chief economist Helena Horská expects the unemployment rate to drop slowly in the months to come as well, which will be aided by seasonal work in the construction sector, agriculture, tourism, etc.
