Czech export expects a slight increase of performance in 2Q 2018 compared to the beginning of the year 2018, which was the weakest since 2013.

(ČIA) Czech export expects a slight increase of performance in 2Q 2018 compared to the beginning of the year 2018, which was the weakest since 2013. This is according to a regular survey by Raiffeisenbank and the Exporters’ Association Index Export (IE). The bank’s chief economist Helena Horská said that Czech export also profits from the condition of the world and the European economy, but faces a lack of labour. Other factors include stagnation of car sales in the Czech Republic as well as in Europe, a decrease in the USA and the trade conflict between the USA and China. The deputy chairperson of the association, Otto Daněk, expects that this is an indication of further slowdown.
