ERÚ: Production of electricity falls to 23 TW in Q1

The gross production of electricity in the Czech Republic decreased 4.1% y/y to 23 TWh in Q1 2018.

(ČIA) The gross production of electricity in the Czech Republic decreased 4.1% y/y to 23 TWh in Q1 2018. The highest decrease was recorded in January (13.5%). The production increased 6.7% y/y in March. The most significant change in the production was recorded for hydroelectric power stations (+ 33%). The highest decrease was registered for steam-gas power stations (17.8%). A significant growth in the installed capacity of wind power plant by 9.8% (+27.6 MW) was caused by the launch of new sources in Liberec Region in November 2017. This stems from the quarterly report published by the Energy Regulatory Office of the Czech Republic (ERÚ).
