(ČIA) In 2019 2,905 solar installations with an output of 12 MW were built on the roofs of family homes in the Czech Republic. This was reported by the Solar Association, according to which growing interest in photovoltaics is among other things driven by the possibility to draw on subsidies from program Nová zelená úsporám. The category with the highest overall output of supported projects were so-called hybrid solar power plants, which are made up of a system of photovoltaic panels supplemented by batteries with an annual output exceeding 4,000 kWh. A total of 1,342 of these were installed with an output of 7.2 MW. The second largest category was photovoltaic systems without batteries and with thermal use of surpluses.
