Information on NPP Temelín 203 / 2009

This afternoon at 4:18 o‘clock, Unit 1 was synchronized to the power distribution grid. Hereby, its planned outage connected with the replacement of a part of fuel in the reactor has been completed. In the course of today, the operations personnel will increase the unit output to 80 per cent RTP. Power tests lasting three days will be carried out at this power level. After their completion, the unit output will be increased to 100 per cent RTP. Unit 2 is in operation at planned power. All auxiliary systems of the power plant are working in accordance with the operation needs.

Information on parameters at Unit 1 today on October 21, 2009 at 8:00 o‘clock:

  • Unit is in Mode 1
  • Reactor power is 59 %
  • Turbine generator output - 513 MWe
  • Electricity production since the beginning of the year: 5 072 238 MWh

Information on parameters at Unit 2 today on October 21, 2009 at 8:00 o‘clock:

  • Unit is in Mode 1 - power operation
  • Reactor power is 100 %
  • Turbine generator output – 1008 MWe
  • Electricity production since the beginning of the year: 4 984 733 MWh
