The owner and the operator of the web pages www.cez.cz is ČEZ, a. s., the company with the registered office Duhová 2/1444, Prague 4, incorporated in the Companies Register maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague, section B, file 1581, company reg. No. (IČ): 45274649, taxpayer reg. No. (DIČ): CZ45274649, which is authorized to exercise proprietary rights to these web pages in accordance with the Copyright Act No. 121/2000 of the Collection of Laws of theCzech Republic(Coll.), (hereinafter referred to as the “Operator”).

The Operator possesses all copyrights to the whole contents placed by the Operator on its web pages www.cez.cz, including text, pages design, technical sketches, graphics and all images on the pages, as well as to the selection and the manner of arrangement of the files placed on these pages.

Rights and obligations of the Operator and the Users while using these pages are governed by the Rules for Use of the Web Pages www.cez.cz (hereinafter referred to as the “Rules”). The Rules apply to all the persons who visit these pages (hereinafter referred to as “Users”). Users express their acceptance of the Rules by accessing any of the web pages of the Operator or by using any information placed on the web pages of the Operator howsoever.

Publication of any data or information on the pages www.cez.cz, with the exception of this document, has no character of any legal act, unless expressly stated otherwise in individual cases.  

Data protection

Collected information and its usage

Access to the www.cez.cz website may be dependent on the Operator providing certain personal data of the User within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (hereinafter referred to as the “GDPR”) or other legislation governing the processing and protection of personal data. In such case, the Operator shall handle such data in accordance with the applicable legislation and will inform the User to the necessary extent about the processing and protection of its personal data, including its rights as a data subject. By providing this data, the User expresses its corresponding knowledge of the processing of personal data by the Operator.

Handover of personal data

The Operator maintains relationships with entities providing the Operator with various services. These entities may handle the personal data of the User, if authorized to do so, whereas they use the information solely for fulfillment of their obligations and must not use the information for any other purpose. The Operator neither sells nor transfers or provides personal data to any third parties.

However, the Operator reserves the right to use or transfer any data which will be necessary for compliance with legal regulations, protection of the network integrity, and fulfillment of a requirement of the User, or within the scope of judicial proceedings and investigation in the public interest.

Cookies

“Cookies” are the information which is transferred from a web page to the hard disk of the User’s computer. Cookies allow an internet page to remember important information which facilitates its further usage by the User.

As most of web pages, also the Operator’s pages use cookies. Based on anonymous data objects, the Operator monitors e.g. the total number of visitors of these pages.

If the User does not wish to use cookies or wishes that the internet browser announces usage of cookies, the User must select the applicable option in its internet browser. If the User blocks all the cookies, he or she will not be able to utilize some functions of these pages.

Links to other pages

The pages www.cez.cz contain links to pages over which the Operator holds no control. If the Users visit any of the pages, they should become familiarized with their personal data security. The Operator bears no liability for the procedures and the policies of other entities.

Changes in the personal data protection policy

The Operator reserves the right to change its personal data protection policy in any manner and in any time, whereas the current state will be always published on these pages.

Users’ behavior

The User undertakes to comply with the applicable laws of the European Union and the Czech Republic when using this Portal, to act at all times in accordance with good manners, the rules of fair business dealings and these Rules, and not to damage the reputation and rights of the Operator or other Users in any manner.

In particular, the User undertakes not to:

  • interfere with the content or technical substance of the Portal's website in any manner without the Operator's consent;
  • interfere with the security of this Portal;
  • access the Portal, enter, modify, or read data on the Portal using automated scripts or other special software enabling batch processing or bulk extraction of information (e.g. robots, crawlers, spiders); the rules of using these programs shall be governed by: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robots_exclusion_standard)
  • interfere with other Users' use of the Portal or prevent them from using the Portal in any manner;
  • use the Portal to send unsolicited messages (spam) and chain messages;
  • send messages to this Portal or upload files containing viruses or any dangerous or malicious programs;
  • create fraudulent messages in order to falsify the identity of the sender, or attempt to hack into the account of other Users;
  • attempt to gain access to part of this Portal's website that is excluded from public use;
  • distribute any messages or materials on this Portal's website that violate the laws of the European Union and the Czech Republic, good morals, or that threaten public order or that do not correspond to the interests of the Operator. In particular, it undertakes not to distribute misleading or fraudulent news or materials that interfere with the rights and legitimate interests of third parties, that are against human dignity, that are discriminatory in their content in terms of religion, creed, race, gender, and that promote violence or any other unlawful act.

In case the User breaches these rules, such actions may be considered a breach of the Terms and Conditions by the Provider, or such User may be denied access to the Portal.

Liability and jurisdiction

Any risks arising for the User from usage of these pages are entirely born by the User; the Operator bears no liability for them. Any disputes ensued in relation with usage of these pages shall be settled by the court having the territorial jurisdiction in the Czech Republic and in accordance with legal regulations of the Czech Republic.

The provisions of the Rules that become unenforceable for any reason shall be regarded to be separable from the remaining provisions and shall have no effect on their validity and enforceability.

Gdpr information

On May 25, 2018, the effective date of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016, on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR), the Operator issued the “Information on the Processing of Personal Data within ČEZ, a.s.”. This document informs about the conditions and circumstances of personal data processing, and about the manner and scope of personal data processing by this company within the CEZ Concern or CEZ Group.
