Unit 1 is shut down since Saturday morning to repair the electric magnet in one of the pumps. Unit 2 is in operation at a planned output.

On Friday afternoon, the Unit 1 operators found out a technical failure on the electric magnet in one of the four reactor coolant pumps. After reviewing the options of repair at operation, the technicians eventually decided to reduce the reactor power step by step and shutdown the reactor on Saturday morning. In order to provide for stable electricity delivery into the distribution grid, the planned outage of Unit 2 has been postponed, at which the high pressure turbine rotor should have been replaced. All auxiliary systems are working in accordance with the operation needs of individual units.
