Information on NPP Temelín 65 / 2009

Unit 1 is in operation at full rated power. Unit 2 is operated in the mode of power effect of reactivity. The auxiliary systems are working in accordance with the operation needs of individual units.

Today at midnight, the Unit 1 will be as planned switched off the power grid. During Saturday, April 4, the cluster drop test will be carried out. It is by this test that the power plant verifies the parameters of the fuel assemblies within the reactor core. In compliance with the test schedule, Unit 1 will resume the electricity production on Sunday, April 5.

Information on parameters at Unit 1 today on April 3, 2009 at 09:30 o‘clock:

  • Unit is in Mode 1 - power operation
  • Reactor power is 100 %
  • Turbine generator output - 1019 MWe
  • Electricity production since the beginning of the year: 2 211 320 MWh

Information on parameters at Unit 2 today on April 3, 2009 at 09:30 o‘clock:

  • Unit is in Mode 1 - power operation
  • Reactor power is 90 %
  • Turbine generator output - 903 MWe
  • Electricity production since the beginning of the year: 2 213 408 MWh
