The company operates a facility of the same name in Jindřichův Hradec. The power and heat co-generation facility uses solely pure biomass as its fuel.
The former energy generation centre of the JITKA textile plant originally burned just heating oil and gas. After its major reconstruction, the K1 and the K2 heating oil boilers were replaced with a new K5 biomass boiler, and a new TG3 output turbine was installed. A closed storage hall was erected for approximately three days worth of fuel of organic (plant) origin. The K3 and the K4 heating oil/gas boilers are used just as a back-up and to cover peak demand for heat.
