Elektrárna Dukovany II of the CEZ Group received supplemented bids from bidders for the construction of a new nuclear source in Dukovany and binding options for three additional nuclear units

Elektrárna Dukovany II (EDU II), a wholly-owned subsidiary of ČEZ, has received supplementary bids for the construction of a new nuclear source in Dukovany. The bidders have submitted updated bids for the fifth unit of Dukovany and now also binding options for additional three units. French-based EdF and KHNP of South Korea had time until 9:00 AM today to submit their bids. EDU II will now assess the bids from financial, business and technical points of view. The evaluation model is based on recommendations of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Orano signs a contract with the Czech electric utility ČEZ for the supply of uranium enrichment services

Orano has signed a contract with the Czech electric utility ČEZ, a.s., for the supply of uranium enrichment services. The enriched uranium, once transformed into fuel, will be used in its Dukovany nuclear power plant. The signing took place today during a trip by the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, to the Czech Republic to strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in civil nuclear power.

CEZ Group's Dukovany Power Plant II has received final bids for the construction of a new nuclear power plant in Dukovany from three bidders

CEZ Group's Elektrárna Dukovany II (EDU II), a wholly owned subsidiary of ČEZ, has received final bids for the construction of a new nuclear power plant in Dukovany from three bidders. The suppliers submitted a binding bid for Dukovany Unit 5 and non-binding bids for the other three units. US-Canadian Westinghouse, French EdF and Korean KHNP had until 11 a.m. today to submit their bids. EDU II will now evaluate the bids from economic, commercial, and technical points of view. The evaluation model is set up on the basis of recommendations from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

ČEZ is getting closer to the construction of new nuclear units at Dukovany after the zoning decision was issued

Elektrárna Dukovany II, a wholly owned subsidiary of CEZ Group, has received a zoning decision for the new nuclear power plants at the Dukovany site from the Ministry of Industry and Trade. For ČEZ, this decision marks another key milestone in the development of new nuclear power plants and the continuation of further licensing and permitting procedures.
