Feke II

Same as its “sister plant” Feke I, the Feke II Hydroelectric Plant is located in the south-eastern part of Turkey. It is the last one from a series of four Akenerji hydro-electric power plants on the Goksu River. The USD 115 million construction project started in May 2008 and the plant entered commercial operation in December 2010.

A couple of Francis turbines with the total output of 70 MW generate environmentally-friendly electricity. The power plant dam is of a gravity type, constructed of rolled concrete. With 28 million of cubic meters of water in the active capacity of the dam reservoir, the Feke II power plant is the second largest of the Akenerji power plants after Uluabat.
