- ČEZ is Selling its Stake in Slovak Company JESSForeign activities
ČEZ Invest Slovensko, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ČEZ, is selling its 49% stake in Jadrová energetická spoločnosť Slovenska (JESS). The buyer is the Slovak state owned company Jadrová a vyraďovacia spoločnosť, a.s. (JAVYS), JESS’s other shareholder, which holds a 51% stake. The agreed purchase price is EUR 189 million. The purchase price is based on JESS’s market valuation. This expert valuation was prepared by the multinational firm EY and subsequently confirmed by KPMG. The transaction is expected to be completed in the coming days.
- CEZ Group Earned CZK 18.1 Billion in H1 2026
Operating revenue of CEZ Group’s energy division totaled CZK 159.7 billion, down 5% year on year. Operating profit before depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) reached CZK 59.0 billion in the first half of the year, down 20% year on year, primarily due to a decline in the selling prices of generated electricity. Net profit rose by 10% to CZK 18.1 billion due to the elimination of the windfall tax on unexpected gains. Adjusted net profit, which is relevant for the dividend proposal, reached CZK 17.8 billion, up 7% year on year.
- ČEZ Has Established a New Subsidiary, ČEZ Energy, to Oversee the Group’s Customer Segments
Following the decision of the General Meeting on June 1 of this year to optimize the ownership structure and management, ČEZ established a new subsidiary to oversee the customer segment. Its name is ČEZ Energy.
