Power Company CEZ Notice

The Power Company CEZ announces that it will not make public the preliminary business results of the year 2000 according to the international accounting standards (IAS) in March 2001, in spite of the fact that it had originally been notified during its press conference on February 28, 2001. These results shall be made available to the public in the next month, i.e. in April.

 

The Power Company CEZ announces that it will not make public the preliminary business results of the year 2000 according to the international accounting standards (IAS) in March 2001, in spite of the fact that it had originally been notified during its press conference on February 28, 2001. These results shall be made available to the public in the next month, i.e. in April.

The reason for this has been the change of the IAS methodology that, in the case of CEZ, especially concerns the way of accounting the costs connected with permanent as well as time-limited depository of used nuclear fuel and the costs for decommissioning of nuclear facilities after the end of their lifetime.

The consolidated and audited business results according to Czech and international accounting standards will be made available to the public in the Czech version of the CEZ Annual business report 2000 to be issued on April 30, 2001 while it will be provided, in compliance with the Act on securities, to the Prague Stock Exchange and to the Securities Center in Prague in a preliminary form; at the same time this report will be available on the CEZ Headquarters´ address. This Annual Report in standard printed version and its electronic form to be find on the CEZ Internet pages shall be issued after May 22, 2001.
