ČEZ even more transparent

Since the 12th of February, ČEZ has been reporting its commodity exchange transactions and OTC commodity, interest rate and currency derivative transactions to a trade repository.

ČEZ will report the required information to the REGIS-TR trade repository daily to fulfil the transaction reporting requirements for non-financial counterparties arising from EU Regulation No. 648/2012 on OTC derivatives, central counterparties and trade repositories (EMIR). The disclosure of transactions pursuant to the EMIR regulation is another step towards higher transparency of European markets. ČEZ has previously adopted an active approach to fulfilment of the requirements of the REMIT regulation and has published information on the production and availability of its facilities on its website since late 2011. On 16 August 2012, ČEZ was admitted to the German energy exchange EEX, where it publishes the information within the Transparency platform. ČEZ is expecting further steps to be taken in late 2014, when reporting of transactions concluded on wholesale energy markets should begin pursuant to the REMIT regulation.
