Another shopping center with its own source of zero-emission energy. Photovoltaics from CEZ ESCO now supplies Westfield Chodov
CEZ ESCO has completed the second phase of the photovoltaic power plant project on the roof of the Westfield Chodov shopping center in southeast Prague. With a total installed capacity of 362 kW per year, it will supply approximately 350 MWh of clean electricity, which corresponds to the average annual consumption of about 120 ordinary households. This stage complemented the first phase of the project, when CEZ ESCO built a 200 kW photovoltaic plant in Chodov last year. Thanks to its location directly on the D1 motorway and the exit from the capital, the Westfield Chodov shopping center is one of the busiest shopping centers in the capital and the entire Czech Republic. It is owned by URW, which also operates the Metropole Zličín and Centrum Černý Most shopping centers, where CEZ ESCO has also built photovoltaic systems.
