Automatic regulation of photovoltaic overflow from CEZ Prodej is already used by 1,000 customers. Now CEZ is launching flexibility for home batteries as well.

CEZ Prodej is launching a flexibility service for owners of home batteries. Customers who allow remote control of their battery charging will receive a financial bonus. The aim of the CEZ FlexiEnergie service is to help households use their modern technologies – photovoltaics and battery storage – more efficiently while contributing to the best possible grid stabilization. The service works by CEZ Prodej using complex algorithms to continuously assess the situation and, if necessary, send instructions for the photovoltaic power plant to reduce production or for the home battery to start charging from the grid. CEZ Prodej first offered the flexibility service for optimizing overflows in March last year as the first of the major suppliers on the Czech market, and 1,000 customers have used it so far.
