ČEZ and Rolls-Royce SMR sign agreement on preparatory work for the introduction of SMRs in the Czech Republic

ČEZ and British company Rolls-Royce SMR have signed an Early Works Agreement with the aim of beginning preparations for the construction of the first small modular reactor (SMR) in the Czech Republic. This agreement represents another significant milestone in the strategic partnership after ČEZ chose Rolls-Royce SMR technology as its partner and supplier for SMRs with the aim of securing up to 3 GW of emission-free energy for the Czech Republic.
