Heat supplies for households and businesses from the Ledvice power plant and heating plant in the Ústí nad Labem Region will continue for many decades. Ledvice supplies heat to the towns of Teplice, Bílina and Ledvice. Alongside the coal-fired units, the site already operates a gas-fired source, and CEZ has now launched a project to build a biomass boiler and an electric boiler in combination with a solar power plant. The modernisation of district heating in Ledvice builds on other heating projects in the region, such as the construction of new energy sources in Ústí nad Labem, Prunéřov, Tušimice and Trmice. CEZ’s total planned investments in district heating in the region exceed CZK 20 billion.
