*Zero-emission solar power plants have generated over 164 GWh so far this year.

*This amount of energy would cover the consumption of 60,000 households over the same period.

*New photovoltaic systems and good sunlight conditions have contributed to this positive development.

From January to September, photovoltaic power plants operated by CEZ, CEZ Obnovitelné zdroje, and Energotrans supplied 40.3 GWh more emission-free electricity to the grid than in the same period last year. The impressive 32.5% growth was driven not only by favorable sunlight conditions, but also largely by new power plants recently connected to the grid. These companies generate electricity from the sun in eight regions of the Czech Republic. Solar parks will continue to dominate the development of renewable energy sources in the future. CEZ is installing additional power plants for households and customers in the public and corporate sectors.
