Pardubice Region – Ten rehabilitated common kestrels and four common buzzards have been released back into the wild in the fields below Kunětická hora after undergoing treatment and rehabilitation at the Pasíčka Wildlife Rescue Centre. All of the released birds originated from the Pardubice Region and, following their successful recovery, were able to return to the areas they call home.

The release of rehabilitated birds of prey is one of the visible outcomes of the work carried out by the Pasíčka Wildlife Rescue Centre, which admits around 3,000 injured or otherwise handicapped wild animals every year. More than 65 percent of them are successfully returned to the wild.

“Every year, we rescue nearly three thousand animals, and more than ten thousand people visit the rescue centre. The number of patients and visitors continues to grow, and so do our operating costs. Support from the ČEZ Foundation is absolutely crucial for us,” said a representative of the Pasíčka Wildlife Rescue Centre.
