From the beginning of February to the end of November 2025, monitoring of peregrine falcon nesting on tall structures (chimneys and cooling towers) belonging to the CEZ Group was carried out. Ornithologists from ALKA Wildlife monitored twelve pairs, seven of which successfully nested. A total of 20 chicks then flew into the world. Since 2011, when the very first aluminum falcon box was installed on the cooling tower at the Tušimice Power Plant, not only within CEZ but also in the entire Czech Republic, at least 206 chicks of the critically endangered peregrine falcon have been raised on CEZ Group's energy structures.
