Opava is joining the ranks of cities that are strongly committed to the electrification of public transportation. In addition to the trolleybuses that have been operating on routes in the Silesian metropolis for more than 70 years, the Opava public transportation company is now putting electric buses into service. Eight quiet two-axle vehicles, which will gradually begin operating in the city throughout this year, represent one of the largest fleets of this type in Moravia and Silesia. The charging infrastructure, consisting of eight DC charging points, was supplied by CEZ ESCO as part of a combined delivery of electric buses from SOR.
