Inspections of safety systems and turbines, 80 investment projects, and replacement of part of the fuel assemblies. These are just some of the most important tasks that energy engineers will carry out during the planned shutdown of the second unit of the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant. Energy engineers will also move into the final phase of a longer fuel cycle. The unit will be disconnected from the transmission grid tomorrow evening. In total, CEZ plans to carry out more than 18,000 activities, for which it has provisionally set aside approximately two months.
