The Temelín Nuclear Power Plant is continuing an extensive modernization of key components that control safety systems, such as safety pumps and critical shut-off valves. By 2029, plant operators will replace 273 parts of their electrical power supply. The goal is to ensure the long-term safety and operational reliability of the plant.
CEZ is continuously modernizing both nuclear power plants with the goal of ensuring they remain in operation for at least 60 years. At Temelín alone, the company has planned 238 investment projects worth CZK 3.8 billion for this year.
