The attractiveness of the energy sector and CEZ is growing: last year, an average of 20 applicants applied for each position. Nuclear power is appealing: one in four employees hired by CEZ last year went to work in the nuclear sector

In 2025, CEZ hired a total of almost 1,300 (1,268) new employees, which is the third highest number in the last 10 years. One in four went to work in the nuclear sector, either at existing nuclear power plants or in teams preparing new large and modular nuclear sources. One-fifth of the new arrivals joined CEZ Distribuce, and the same number joined CEZ Prodej. For the first time ever, the largest Czech energy company attracted more university graduates than high school graduates last year – 50% of new hires had a university degree. Women accounted for almost 37% of new hires last year. In the case of the sales company CEZ Prodej, it was a full 61%. The energy sector is now also attractive to women.
