The CEZ Energy-Efficient House project exceeded expectations: modern technologies reduced household consumption by 80 % year-on-year
Modern energy technologies work and, with effective configuration and management, can significantly reduce consumption from the grid. This was confirmed by the "CEZ Energy-Efficient House" project. Thanks to the installation of technologies from ČEZ Prodej, the consumption of a specific family house in the Příbram region was reduced to less than 3 MWh from the original more than 13 MWh per year. With this project, ČEZ Prodej is trying to show, using specific cases, how ordinary Czech households can easily save money. According to the latest IPSOS survey from this spring, 50 % of people have taken some energy-saving measures aimed at reducing energy consumption in the last year. However, more than half of households still need information on how they can save energy, and most people expect their supplier to advise them. The CEZ Energy-Efficient House campaign helps spread awareness in an interactive way as part of the long-term project to popularize energy savings, ČEZ Academy. The campaign has resulted in a series of popular educational videos that people can use for inspiration.
