The CEZ Group’s Sokolí Farm released 22 chicks into the wild this year. Poříčí also had its first success, and kestrels thrived in Dvůr Králové.

Hradec Králové, August 2026 – A total of 22 falcon chicks will enrich the Czech countryside this year thanks to nesting on the CEZ Group’s high-rise structures. There is a special reason to celebrate at the Poříčí Power Plant, where—after a ten-year wait—the first-ever two falcon chicks were successfully raised. Pairs in Dukovany, Trmice, and Proboštov were also successful, each raising four chicks; in Tušimice and Třeboradice, they raised three chicks each; and in Ledvice, another two chicks were raised. The East Bohemian highlight of this year’s bird season was further complemented by seven young kestrels that grew up in a nest box located at the Dvůr Králové nad Labem Heating Plant.
