Hundreds of vehicles in Liberec can now park beneath a solar power plant. The largest solar carport in the Czech Republic has been built at the premises of DENSO MANUFACTURING CZECH (DMCZ). The carport, delivered by ČEZ ESCO, consists of nearly 3,000 solar panels with a total installed capacity of 1.8 MWp and provides parking for almost 500 vehicles. ČEZ ESCO supplied the panels to the Liberec facility for a symbolic CZK 1, with the investment to be repaid by the company over a ten-year period through the price of the electricity consumed. Compared with the previously largest carport in the Czech Republic, the new installation is approximately twice as large.
