CEZ Group's Falcon Farm: 22 chicks will take flight this year

All in all, 22 young falcons are set to leave the falcon boxes installed on the CEZ Group's high-rise buildings this year.  Of the 12 nesting pairs, seven were successful this year, including three broods of quadruplets.  There were two sets of triplets and two sets of twins. As usual, the pairs from the chimneys at the Trmice Heating Plant, the former ČEZ Teplárenská heating plant in Proboštov, and the Ledvice Power Plant did not disappoint. This year, for the first time ever, a pair from the Poříčí Power Plant joined them with twins. Unfortunately, one pair—from the cooling tower of the Počerady Combined Cycle Power Plant—broke up. The so-called Falcon Farm of the CEZ Group includes 12 locations: Dětmarovice, Dukovany, Ledvice, Mělník, Počerady, Poříčí, Proboštov, Prunéřov, Temelín, Třeboradice, Tušimice, and Trmice.
