SBTi approved CEZ Group’s science-based targets
The SBTi has assessed CEZ Group's submission and has approved the targets. CEZ Group submitted two targets for review by the SBTi. These targets were assessed against the SBTi's quantitative and qualitative criteria and have been validated in accordance with the SBTi validation protocol. The two proposed targets were found to meet all criteria in terms of timeframe, emissions coverage, and ambition. The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) mobilizes companies to set science-based targets and boost their competitive advantage in the transition to the low-carbon economy. It is a partnership between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
CEZ wins Sodexo Employer of the Year again
CEZ has won gold again in the prestigious Sodexo Employer of the Year survey and confirmed its top position in the category of employers with more than 5,000 employees. The Employer of the Year competition, organized by the Employers' Club, highlights companies with an excellent approach to their employees. The evaluation is carried out using the globally recognized Saratoga methodology by PricewaterhouseCoopers Czech Republic. The methodology examines 14 indicators, including the cost of employee training and development, investment in CSR activities for employees, and the level of internal promotion
CEZ Group data protection officer awarded
The largest Czech and Slovak organizations of GDPR professionals, the Czech and Slovak Society for Personal Data Protection, selected the best data protection officers for 2021. In the Czech Republic, Radek Knop, Data Protection Officer of the University Hospital in Motol, and Petr Brázda, Data Protection Officer of CEZ Group, were awarded for their contribution to transparent, fair, and lawful processing of personal data. The Data Protection Officer oversees the compliance of personal data processing in CEZ Group, cooperates with the supervisory authority (the Office for Personal Data Protection) in matters related to personal data processing, keeps records, and monitors disputes and their resolution.
